Together, Live Healthy Douglas partners developed the following metrics to measure our success in a uniform way. While we know that a lot of time and collective action is required to “move the dial” on these long-term health outcomes, we remain committed to improving the health of our community. Each partner uses these metrics to collectively track and record the progress of our efforts.
Please note: Age-adjusting rates is a way to make fairer comparisons considering the effects that age differences may have on health outcomes. For example, a county having a higher percentage of older adults may have a higher rate of death from heart disease than a county with a younger population, merely because older adults are more likely to die from heart disease.
