The Live Healthy Douglas Partner of the Year Award recognizes a Steering Committee Member who had a major impact on the Live Healthy Douglas Coalition and who has furthered the work of the Douglas Community Health Improvement Plan during 2018.

“Amy’s marketing and communications background has been instrumental to the success of the Live Healthy Douglas Coalition’s work in the community,” said Lisa Crossman, Executive Member of Live Healthy Douglas and Deputy Director of Cobb & Douglas Public Health. “She is a strong, dedicated leader and well deserving of this distinguished award.”

Baillie joined the LHD Steering Committee in 2016. In 2017, she volunteered to serve as the LHD Communications I-Team Chair and helped develop a Communications Action Plan for promoting community awareness and engagement. In mid-2018, she took her commitment to the coalition a step further when she accepted the nomination as the Live Healthy Douglas Chair.

About Live Healthy Douglas
Live Healthy Douglas is a partnership of community organizations and individuals that are dedicated to improving the health of our residents and our Douglas community. Together, through a strategic process called Mobilizing Action Through Planning and Partnerships (MAPP), Live Healthy Douglas has assessed the current health status of the county, surveyed resident priorities and developed a Community Health Improvement Plan to guide all organizations toward our collective goals.

The Live Healthy Douglas Steering Committee is a cross-sector group of community leaders overseeing the strategic planning process. Steering committee members are responsible for guiding, advising and bringing resources to both the Community Health Assessment (CHA) and Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP).
